- OFFLINE STORE
On my way home, feeling quite tipsy, I was chatting with a friend on the phone. Thinking the main road might be too noisy, I decided to explore some backstreets I’ d never walked through before and I came across the most delightful vintage shop. It was so charming and I immediately told my friend, “I wanna go to this store,” hung up the phone, and walked in. Once inside, I discovered it was even more enchanting than it looked from the outside. Among all the treasures, I found a cropped jacket that caught my eye. Curious, I asked the staff about it, and they explained it was a fisherman’ s jacket. Apparently, it’ s designed so that when you’ re standing in water up to the hem while fishing, it doesn’ t get wet. I thought, “I love it!” and bought it on the spot.
A few days later, I visited the yarn company I always rely on, they showed me some wonderfully unique yarns. That’ s when inspiration struck—I thought it’ d be fun to combine those yarns with the fisherman’ s jacket. I had the yarn custom-made based on what I’ d seen, and since the original jacket had a lovely corduroy collar, I decided to recreate that detail with knitwear. The yarn was dyed in a corduroy-like color and texture, and I used it for the collar.
