Designer Makoto Matsui presented his first collection, Abelia Edward Gosha, in 2021.

The brand name comes from a small flower he often saw on his way to school, reflecting his eye for capturing inspiration in everyday moments.

Makoto works freely, without being confined to any particular framework, creating each season the pieces he truly wants to make.

His designs are fluid, revealing an elegant grace through delicate details.

Rather than leaning entirely toward clean construction or raw, cut-off finishes, he created pieces where both coexist, aiming for a mood that seems to exist somewhere in between.

Finally, a one-wash treatment was applied to enhance the texture.
